Description

We’re thrilled to present this screening of My Imaginary Life for Someone, the joint feature debut of festival favorite Ryan McGlade and artist and filmmaker Molly Wurwand!

Ryan screened his work with us in our very first festival when no one even knew who we were, so we’re beyond excited to bring his and Molly's idiosyncratic long-form collaboration to The New Parkway.

This Y2K-set fictional documentary is a must-see for fans of reality TV and American opulence, crafting a world of wealth and isolation both imminently familiar and curiously unsettled.

This screening also marks the fest proper's return to The New Parkway, where we last presented a Q&A with Phil Tippett for the original Mad God trilogy back in 2019. We can't wait to be back at the comfiest theater in Oakland with an unforgettable film sure to delight longtime DFFO fans and new friends alike!
